![]() The last thing i have tryed is to go into the windows firewall and added the VCDS program to the list and click allow, i think i had this issue with VCDS lite but it was long time ago now so can't remember. I have tryed lot of things suggested on various sites but nothing worked. After start Other Function, you should connect the VCDS cable to the car or 12V tool. Then if software is in inactivated condition, please choose Other Function. I have re-installed the usb driver as Ross-Tech site tells me to with just the cable plugged into the laptop and everything is ok. First, you should start VCDS by VCDS loader. Went to scan a car last night and it started the scan then half way through the scan it started doing the pop up thing (Yellow Sheild) and would'nt connect. Un-installed everything and re-installed it few times then it was working as it should. Went to log yesterday and when i plugged the cable into the car the laptop had pop up thingy (Yellow Sheild) saying USB not recognised or somthing similar an with the cable plugged in it was making the noise when you plug a usb in but it was like it was switching on and off ![]() I have Genuine Ross-Tech Hex-Can-Usb, installed it all and everything worked fine.
